You can email Dr Marc Cornock directly; but for media enquiries please contact a member of The Open University's Media Relations team.
During a professional career within health care Marc undertook a Master's degree in medical law at Cardiff University and studied undergraduate law at the Open University. Before joining the Law School at the Open University, Marc was Principal Lecturer and Academic Lead for law in health care in The Faculty of Health and Social Work at the University of Plymouth.
His teaching interests lie in both general law and in health law. He is particularly interested in how law is taught to non-law students.
Marc's overall research area is that of the interface between the law and professional health care practice. He is interested in the constraints that are placed upon health care professionals in clinical decision making. This is affected by the bodies and organisations to which they are accountable and liable and his current research topic/project is entitled 'regulation and control of health care professionals'.
He has written about law for the professional health care sector and is a reviewer of manuscripts and books for several of these journals.
