Biography

Eileen Arney has worked as a senior civil servant including as Assistant Director of National Police Training and Deputy Director of the Police Standards Unit. She has designed and delivered leadership programmes for senior managers in the police service in the UK and overseas (including for the Jamaica Constabulary) and is a Fellow of the CIPD.

Teaching interests

Human resource management (including CIPD professional qualifications) and in particular work-place learning and learning in a virtual environment.

Research interests

Workplace learning and learning in a virtual environment and career development for older workers.
