Rishikesh's research interest and academic qualifications are in fashion, technology and business management. He has more than six years of professional work experience in the Indian fashion retail industry, working with companies such as Reebok and Benetton, in product development and merchandising. He has a degree in Fashion and Technology from National Institute of Fashion Technology, New Delhi and a second degree in Fashion Business Management from University of Westminster, London.
Rishikesh's research looks into the current developments in technology and online social media and how these might be affecting the product design and development in the fashion industry. Accepting that online social media is a platform rather than just a tool for promotion of brand, the online consumers are now an important resource for product development. The concept of innovation management in fashion companies and how it is being affected by the ideas of co-creation on online social media is investigated. The research will try to draw conclusions based on empirical research into UK fashion companies.
