Affiliated Research Centre

The Open University Business School has one Affiliated Research Centre, ESC Rennes, which has been offering the OU PhD programme since 1995. At an Affiliated Research Centre, students are supervised locally, but OU regulations and processes govern the programme.

ESC Rennes is one of the Grandes Ecoles de Management. It is a private business school operating from a single site in Rennes at which all research students are based. ESC Rennes has two research centres: Technology, Innovation and Management and Corporate Social Responsibility. Its first OU PhD student was registered in 1995. The programme has graduated 8 students since then and currently has 9 active students. As well as the OU PhD, ESC Rennes offers several types of qualification: An International Bachelor Programme in Management; a graduate Programme Grande Ecole; taught postgraduate programmes: a number of specialist Master of Science degrees and an MA in International Business. The latter is validated by the OU. It also offers Executive Education Programmes, an executive MBA and a DBA delivered in China.
