Abstract
About the book: This volume examines the different forms of employee participation in decision-making and ownership. It is especially relevant given current developments in Central and Eastern Europe. Three areas are examined in particular: the issue of ownership and its implications for participation; the specific forms employee participation can take and how it can be effectively promoted within firms; and the influence of external factors such as the role of the state, unions, and other institutions.
