MBA fees and Entry Requirements

The best value MBA with Top Tier Triple Accredited Quality

The OU MBA breaks the link between exclusivity and Triple Accredited excellence . Only 1% of business schools globally achieve the accolade of triple accreditation. When compared to other triple accredited Business Schools in the UK the value for money of the OU model is clear.

*Fees approximation explained:

  • You register and pay for a module at a time. This means that the cost of your MBA will be spread over your years of study.
  • The module prices are updated annually, and hence may vary as you progress in your studies.
  • The prices also vary slightly depending on the modules that you have chosen as module prices do vary.
  • The fees above assume students pass each module without retake costs.

Don’t Let Funding Problems Stop You

  • Unlike many traditional MBA programmes, the OU MBA does not require you to pay at one go. You only pay for the modules that you are studying at that time. This spreads your cost over your chosen duration of study.
  • You can always take benefit of the OUSBA (Open University Student Budgets Account) scheme where you can register now and pay at module start date, without paying any interest.
  • Also, with OUSBA you can pay for your module in monthly instalments over a period of one year at a very low rate of interest.

Entry Requirements

To be eligible to apply for the OU MBA, you need to have:

  • A Bachelors degree awarded with honours from a recognised UK university or the equivalent;
  • A minimum of three years’ experience in a managerial, professional or technical role;
  • A good knowledge of the English Language (to International English Language Test System (IELTS) score of 6.5).
  • If you do not hold the required qualifications you can benefit from the Open Entry route.

Open Entry Route

If you do not have a bachelor’s degree with honours you can still apply for The Open University MBA. We offer an alternative entry route onto our MBA programme through The Open University’s Professional Certificate in Management.

This qualification delivers the foundations of business management, demonstrates your ability to study and work at the same time, and allows professionals with relevant work experience to join the MBA programme after successful completion of the one-year certificate programme.

Alternatively if you have an official Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) score of 640 or above, and the equivalent of a UK bachelors degree, you will be allowed to progress directly on to the MBA.
