Kath gained an MBA whilst working full time in a demanding role as an IT project manager. At the time she was managing up to 20 staff and has since managed over 100 IT specialists.

She started working part time for the OU Business School around 8 years ago and now tutors on both the Professional Certificate in Management and the Strategy element of the postgraduate programmes. She is now the Risk and Governance Manager in a business unit of a large energy company. As a practising manager, Kath brings much down to earth experience of management.

"The thing I really enjoy about being an OU tutor, is seeing how students use the knowledge gained to become better managers in their companies - that really gives me a buzz".
