I started studying with the OU five years ago and embarked on a life-changing experience which I thoroughly enjoyed (whilst challenging at times). Not only has this experience transformed my life from an educational perspective or financially, it has greatly aided my knowledge-building by providing a wealth of ideas to solve real life business challenges in addition to providing continuous networking opportunities.
The OU is a first-class educational institution giving all its students a high level of support, encouragement, commitment and drive. I successfully completed many qualifications with the OU over my duration as a student; Certificate in Management, Diploma in Management (postgraduate) and finally an MBA (Master of Business Administration).
To give back to The Open University I am an OU volunteer and help out at the degree ceremonies (Barbican, London) and I'm a proactive advocate of the OU for new prospective students. I also was given a once in a lifetime opportunity visit to 10 Downing Street as part of its 40th year anniversary celebrations – I even spoke with Gordon Brown, who I learnt was an ex-OU lecturer. Whilst I have decided to take a break from studies I would consider embarking on a Doctorate in Business in the next few years.
Well done OU, keep up the great work which changes people’s life experiences and opportunities.
A special thank you to the OU and all your staff for making my time with you such an enriching, pleasurable experience.
The Open University, together with international partners, offers its MBA and many other programmes across the globe.
