Milton Keynes University Hospital is working with The Open University to run a Degree Apprenticeship programme to help it deliver digital transformation. Apprentice of the Year, Robson Grant, is a "shining light" at the Hospital and is widening his skillset and boosting his career prospects through The Open University's Digital and Technology Solutions Professional Degree Apprenticeship. Robson, who is focusing on software engineering, talks about the support offered by The Open University and how it has been crucial to his success.
Deputy Head of IT Applications, Ian Fabbro, tells us about the exciting projects currently underway at the hospital and how apprentices are playing a key role in the department.
Chief Executive Joe Harrison explains how apprentices such as Robson are already making active and positive contributions towards improving outcomes for patients. Digitisation is vital in getting the most out of the hospital's workforce and through apprenticeships, Joe is seeing increased engagement from apprentices early in their careers and pleased to see them making a strong contribution to the running of the hospital.
