Graduate job fairs help employers meet potential employees, both undergraduates and graduates.

  • They may be open to everyone or restricted to a host university's own students.
  • They may cover all graduate recruitment sectors or be specialised.

To find out when they are held go to the Prospects website career fairs list or look at advertisements in the national and local press.

How to make the most of the opportunity

  • Find out which organisations will be there and identify those of interest to you. Check their websites before the event for relevant jobs or training schemes.
  • At the job fair, make sure you talk to people from those organisations in as much detail as possible. Be enthusiastic, and if appropriate leave them a copy of your CV.
  • Note the name of the person you speak to and contact them by email after the fair, to express further interest or to ask an intelligent question.
