Lab in a Lorry is a mobile science laboratory which allows children aged 11-14 to participate in hands-on science experiments with the aim to inspire and enthuse the next generation of scientists and engineers.
The Institute of Physics’ outreach programme for high schools is returning for the first time since 2009 thanks to a new partnership with STFC and will be travelling all over the North West in 2012 and are looking to recruit volunteers with a scientific background to help run the events.

Exploring Graduate Entry to Medicine

Summer Diversity Internship Programme (SDIP) offers high calibre and diverse students the opportunity to work in government departments for 6-9 weeks during the summer: long enough to give them real insight into the work of a civil servant and a Fast Streamer. Interns are paired up with serving Fast Streamers, who act as mentors during the placement.
Applications for the 2012 summer internships will be accepted up until 3rd January 2012.
