Disability Forum for OU students
The Careers Advisory Service is running an online forum entitled: ‘Employment Issues for Disabled Students’ which will run from Tues 3rd May until Friday 27th May 2011. There will be two careers advisers moderating the forum who will answer your questions.
This forum has been set up so that we can share advice, thoughts and experiences about any employement related issues which might be of particular concern to disabled students, at any stage of their study. It provides an excellent chance to ask about and discuss a whole range of topics such as:
- Disclosing your disability to an employer
- Supportive work experience opportunities for disabled students
- Reasonable adjustments in the workplace
- Alternative work styles
- Disability related organisations
You can post a question, add a helpful comment to support other students or just come in and browse. To access the forum, go to the Forums page on our website using your OU computer username and password and follow the link.
After 4 weeks the forum will become read-only for a further 12 months.
