The Careers Advisory Service is running a Networking forum which runs from Tuesday 8th May until Friday 1st June 2012. The forum will be moderated by two careers advisers, who will guide you through the intricacies of networking. The moderators are not experts though, and we hope that with your input we can share ideas, advice, thoughts and experiences about networking in its broadest sense, and hopefully everyone will benefit. It provides an excellent chance to ask about and discuss a whole range of topics such as:

  • What is networking?
  • Why is it important?
  • What strategies can I use to network more effectively?
  • What is social networking and where do I start with this?

To access the forum go to the Careers Workspace using your OU computer username and password. The forum will be open for 4 weeks and will then become read-only for a further 12 months. This is a great opportunity to get your questions answered by a qualified careers adviser.  We hope to see you on the forum.
