The CCIG postgrad and OpenSpace postgraduate groups are organising a 2-day workshop on writing on Saturday and Sunday, 11-12 May 2013. This workshop will be run by Angela Duthie, who carried out a successful workshop with the CCIG postrad group last year, and has also been working with Oecumene. The workshop is designed to contribute particularly to international students, but all may benefit from it. The focus of the workshop will be decided in accordance with participants' needs and wishes.
The workshop covers all aspects of the different stages of the writing process, structure, style, common problems for people with different mother tongues, editing, etc. Participants are asked to send a few pages of their writing in advance, for me to see what their special problems might be so that I can incorporate them into the workshop.
As this workshop is designed to have an emphasis on personalised work and feedback, the number of available spaces is very limited. We will invite students who will respond the quickest.
Please find attached a provisional schedule for the workshop.
