CCIG Forums are monthly events at which CCIG members and others come together to discuss, articulate, experiment with and develop CCIG-related research and thinking, face-to-face and in a participative environment.

CCIG Forums are monthly events at which CCIG members and others come together to discuss, articulate, experiment with and develop CCIG-related research and thinking, face-to-face and in a participative environment. Ten Forums are scheduled in advance for each calendar year, and are intended to feature a wide selection of events held throughout the day, including seminars, colloquia, keynotes, workshops, and conversational groups.

10:30-10:45 Arrival/ Coffee/ Director's update.

11.00-12.00 Development activity: Proposal discussion on 'Slow Politics, Slow Theory' Michael Saward and Geoff Andrews.

12.00-13.00 Development activity: 'Public engagement: agendas and possibilities'. talk by Janet Newman and Nick Mahony.

13:00-14:00 Lunch.

14:00-15:30 'From Territorium to Territory' , Stuart Elden, Durham University Chair: Claudia Aradau. 

15.30-15.45 Tea break.

15.45-17.00 'Imagining Pain: reading, affect and literary representation' talk by Marina Almeida. Discussant: Jean McAvoy. Chair: Raia Prokhovnik and Gail Lewis.

15.45 Parallel event: Closed meeting of the Families and Relationships Group. Chair: Jane McCarthy.
