CCIG/OS lunch seminar 3: how to move your publications from a 2 star to 4 star?

Wednesday, 22 January 2014, 12:30 - 14:00

TBC

This session will explore how assessment is carried out for publications.

This is the third seminar of our CCIG/OS series. Don’t hesitate to bring your lunch!

Research outputs included in the REF exercise cover individual researchers and their publications. Assessments are based on a star rating system that is now part of UK-based academics. Currently, the star rating works as follow: from 1 star (Quality that is recognised nationally in terms of originality, significance and rigour), to 4 star (Quality that is world-leading in terms of originality, significance and rigour).

This session will explore how this assessment is carried out for publications in particular, and what are tips to move your publications from 2 stars to 4 stars.

Confirmed speakers include: Sophie Watson and Steve Pile (Faculty of Social Science, OU)

Further details to come.
