CCIG's Publics Research Programme (Directed by Prof. John Clarke) and the Creating Publics project (led by Dr. Nick Mahony with Dr. Hilde Stephansen) will be welcoming a group of colleagues from McGill University’s Institute for the Publics Life of Arts and Ideas (IPLAI) who will be visiting the Open University 3-5 June 2013.
This visit will serve two purposes: to develop the ESRC international networking and partnership project ‘making publics across time and space’; and, to participate in the inaugural workshop of the new ‘publics then, now and beyond’ network (the aim of which is to form an interdisciplinary group of early career scholars working in this area, beginning with 11 colleagues from UK, France, Denmark and N. America).
Dr. Sujatha Raman and Dr. Judith Tsouvalis, who are respectively Deputy Director and Research Fellow on the the five year (2012-17) Leverhulme Research Programme, Making Science Public, will also be participating in this workshop and in the new network.
