Umut Erel chaired an event on 'Queer Muslim Women Today'

 

This event organised at Birkbeck (University of London) the 6th of July brought together academics, activists and communities and was the occasion to discuss a range of issues that impact on the lives of queer Muslim women today. Themes addressed included immigration and asylum; violence; education and employment; marriage and children; sexuality and Islam.

The Oecumene team is back from China!

The Oecumene team has been travelling in China between the 2d of June and the 26 of June 2013.

On the Oecumene website the team shared their impressions and reflections, the encounters that left imprints, on a daily basis during the journey.
