Disciplines are academic units comprising CEPSAR members that are brought together for their synergistic research interests. The five disciplines that contribute to CEPSAR each have their own strong and identifiable core areas of research:

Where disciplines interface and overlap provides the foundation of CEPSAR - researchers from the five disciplines cross-networking and collaborating to work towards the primary aims of CEPSAR which is to contribute to our understanding of the origins, systems and processes relating to the stars and rocky bodies in the solar system.
