If you are thinking about a career in science and want to gain experience in cutting-edge research techniques then perhaps a Summer Internship is for you. Interns become a member of one of our leading research teams for 6 to 8 weeks and contribute to a research project. This will provide you with valuable hands-on experience of research in one of the CEPSAR research areas and provide you with access to leading scientists and relevant and up-to-date career advice from PhD students and research staff.
Funding for internships can be applied for from the Nuffield Foundation who offer in the region of 450 undergraduate bursaries per year. Internships in meteoritical science are available from the Royal Astronomical Society who award up to 10 per year. CEPSAR has a track record of hosting Nuffield Foundation and Royal Astronomical Society Summer internships and our hosted students have all gone on to pursue degree-level science courses equipped with experiences and confidence gained from their internships in CEPSAR.
If you think that a Summer internship might be beneficial to you then please get in contact with either the Director of CEPSAR, Professor Simon Kelley, or with one of the Heads of Discipline, or any CEPSAR member that actively researches in your science area of interest. Take the opportunity to read the details and application process for the Nuffield Foundation and RAS internships using the links above, and we look forward to you joining our research centre!
