Access to Success Route (England)

Access to Success Route (England)

Like all other universities, the Open University has had to raise its tuition fees to compensate for the withdrawal of Government funding and like all other students, anyone wanting to study an OU qualification is now eligible to apply for a Government backed loan to meet the cost of their fees.

However, the OU recognises that some students, particularly those on low incomes and without traditional university entry qualifications, may benefit from a low-cost, low-risk opportunity to build their confidence and begin working towards a qualification before having to commit to taking out a loan to fund the remainder of their studies. That's why we are offering our Access to Success Route which is jointly funded by the OU and the Government's National Scholarship Programme.

If you live in England, have an annual household income of less than £25,000, are new to the OU and have no previous higher education qualification, you could be eligible for an Access to Success place.
