The East Midlands Strategic Health Authority is committed to supporting professional development and service improvement across their region. As part of this commitment, they set up the Learning Beyond Registration scheme. The scheme provides funding for qualified healthcare staff from East Midlands NHS organisations to access fully funded places on OU courses.

Programmes and courses on offer span a broad array of subjects including:

• nursing practice
• leadership

Masters in Advancing Healthcare Practice. OU courses can be studied individually as one-off career development or as part of an academic award.
