Information on sources of funding

Funding

This guide will help you to access information about possible funding opportunities which may be available to you. There is no single source of funding support for employers or employees for workforce development, education, training or assessment. You will need to investigate and consider a number of information sources. Each source of public funding will have specific requirements and eligibility criteria that need to be met so we recommend that you always check the websites below for up-to-date details.

What is available in England?

The government website www.gov.uk  is a useful starting point for all information about financial support for adult learners in England. From here you can go to ‘Career skills and training’ to find out more about specific programmes.

You can also link from here to websites giving details of funding in Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.

The National Careers Service website takes you to the free careers service. This site enables you to check available funding for courses and training. In addition, you can get support to identify your skills and abilities, access information on job roles and get help with career planning.

Please note that we are not currently able to accept a 19+ Advanced Learning Loan towards our qualification fees.

What is available in Wales?

The Wales.gov.uk website contains a guide to all education and skills funding in Wales.

What is available in Northern Ireland?

The NIdirect.gov.uk website contains information about education and skills funding in Northern Ireland.

What is available in Scotland?

The Learner Funding Scotland webpage provides details on funding sources available in Scotland.
