Mode of study
Much of this module’s study materials are online. Online materials are composed of pages of text with images, audio and video clips (all with transcripts), diagrams and interactive media. Online materials also include links to external resources, online forums and online tutorial rooms. Printed materials are provided for some of the module content.
Tuition strategy
This module provides a range of online tutorials. Although not compulsory, attendance at tutorials will help you consolidate your learning.
Working with others
You will be required to work with other students. This will include looking at, and commenting on, others’ work and reflecting on others’ comments on your work and is assessed.
Diagrams and other visual content
The study materials contain diagrams, images and photographs. Figure descriptions are provided for most figures.
Finding information

Assessment
This module has Tutor-Marked Assignments (TMAs), which must be submitted online via the OU electronic TMA system.
