Accessibility Statement for Perspectives in health and social care (K118)
Mode of study
Some of this module’s study materials are online. Online materials are composed of pages of text with images, audio/video clips of up to 20 minutes long (all with transcripts/subtitles where included on the module website), diagrams, interactive media, animations and multiple choice self-assessed quizzes. Online materials also include links to external resources, online forums and online tutorial rooms. Printed materials are provided for all module content, with the exception of the assessment material, interactive Computer-Marked Assignments (iCMAs), and some interactive activities in the online material.
This module provides a mix of one to one tuition, online tutorials, study forums and one face to face Introductory Day School. Although not compulsory, attendance at tutorials will help you consolidate your learning.
Diagrams and other visual content
The study materials contain some diagrams, graphs and photographs. Reading, interpreting and producing examples of these is an important part of the study of this module and is assessed. Figure descriptions are provided for all figures.
You may be required to search for, and make use of, third party material online and this may be assessed. Alternatives for required research material can be provided to enable you to meet the Learning Outcomes of the module.
