Is this course right for me?

Take H804 if you'd enjoy a globally available course that combines:

• a focus on implementation in real contexts;

• online discussion and debate with students from a wide range of contexts, backed up with key texts supplied to you in print and online.

Some of our students are currently working directly with learners, online or face to face. Others are managers, or write and edit teaching and training packages. Some work in education, others in the corporate sector, while others are looking for a career move into open, distance or online education.

H804 interview
In this short audio-clip, two IET academics discuss the importance of interaction for student learning. They start to explore how course-designers can encourage students to become independent learners.

Audio file (mp3)

Audio file (rm)

Technical note: The mp3 file will give better sound quality, but is bigger than the RealPlayer file. (If you are using a dial-up and the mp3 takes too long to download, we recommend the rm file; if that doesn't open, you may need to save it to your desktop first: right-click on the 'rm' link just above here; select 'Save target as'; save to desktop; double-click on new icon on desktop. If you don't already have it you may need RealPlayer, which you can download from http://www.real.co.uk/ - click on the tab 'RealPlayer' at the top of their screen. On the next screen click on the text 'Download the Free RealPlayer Only'.

Assignment Guide 2005
The Assignment Guide does more than set out the assignment questions. It provides detailed guidance, which dovetails with the support provided by the H804 tutors. Future Assignment Guides will be similar but not identical.

Year Plan 2005
Future Year Plans will be similar, with minor date-changes, Easter falling in a different week, etc.
