Having looked at Mark’s reactions and his account of what he thinks caused him to get so angry with Mr Haynes, you might be beginning to make links between his early experiences as a child at the hands of his abusive father and how he now deals with people in positions of power or authority.

You might also have noticed how important the behaviour and responses of the worker can be in terms of dealing effectively with challenging behaviour, we will explore this aspect further in Module 6.
