  • PhD Studentship TESS-India

    A studentship is available to research developments in International Teacher Education in India. The research challenge is to better understand how teachers and student teachers learn to teach in developing contexts, how they interact with Open Educational Resources and how contradictions between policy, college preparation and practice are traversed.

    This studentship is associated with the TESS-India project – a collaborative project across seven States in India to develop teacher education resources to reach millions of teachers and to improve the education of many more millions of children.

  • Professional Doctorate in Education (EdD)

    Interested in part-time doctoral research?

    The Doctorate in Education (EdD) programme is an innovative part-time research degree programme.  It is characterised by a professional orientation and a clearly defined structure, which allows completion in 3.5 years.

    A growing number of professionals regard this style of doctoral programme as being a more appropriate vehicle for further development than the traditional PhD, due to the applied nature of the research undertaken.

    Successful candidates are awarded the degree of Doctor of Education and are entitled to use the title ‘Dr’.
