The Children’s Research Centre (CRC) is all about children by children. The primary objective is to empower children and young people as active researchers. The CRC recognises that children are experts on their own lives. It values the child's perspective and believes in promoting child voice by supporting children to carry out research on topics that are important to them. Diverse groups of children and young people have the opportunity to learn about aspects of research processes followed by support to design and carry out a research project and help to disseminate their findings. The CRC supports a variety of outreach programmes and links to numerous schools and community organisations. It exists to contribute to the body of knowledge on childhood and children's views.
