Little Flower Senior Primary
'When pupils use ICT or the DEEP activities, they definitely feel very smart. They seem to have a sense of achievement when they are doing things on the computer. They seem to brighten up and they seem to feel so good about themselves, you know it's just really good for them'.
Little Flower Senior Primary is a peri-urban school in the Qumbu area of the Eastern Cape Province. Although rates of unemployment are high and the area poor, there are also many learners at the school from the middle classes. Overall there are approximately 300 learners (180 girls and 120 boys) and 11 teachers. Some of the learners live in a hostel located some three miles from the school.
