If you are not eligible for a Disabled Students' Allowance

Access to Learning Fund (ALF)

This is a means-tested fund, based on your financial circumstances, and available to some students (although not in Scotland) who are not eligible for the DSA.

There are also opportunities to get equipment on loan.

Students who live in Scotland, or were resident in Scotland at the start of their programme of study

The Scottish government gives a discretionary fund to universities. Assistance from this fund is means-tested and may be available to some students who are not eligible for a DSA. To find out about other funding available in Scotland, please contact The Open University in Scotland.

Other support

OU students can also access a variety of financial support, depending on their circumstances, to help pay for study and related costs. Find out more about the financial support available.
