DAISY stands for Digital Accessible Information SYstem and is the worldwide standard software for text to speech (TTS) digital talking book (DTB) formats. It is also compliant with the World Wide Web (W3C) standards, Synchronized Multimedia Integration Language (SMIL) standards and produces MP3 format audio files.
