If at any time during your studies you identify an additional study need not mentioned in your original Needs Assessment report, and you have a current DSA award, please contact your original needs assessor to discuss your requirements. If they feel there is a disability related need for additional support, they will make a supplementary recommendation to the DSA office. However if this additional requirement is because of a change in your medical condition, the DSA office will ask you to supply additional medical evidence from your GP or specialist that confirms this change.
If you feel your condition has changed to the extent you feel you need a reassessment of your study needs, or you have a new condition we do not know about, we will need to see new medical evidence confirming the change in your condition or a clear diagnosis of the new condition before a reassessment can be considered.
If possible, please ask your GP to state within the new medical evidence the impact this change will have on your ability to study.
We are not able to consider a reassessment without this evidence.
Take part in the Disabled Students' Allowance (DSA) eligibility quiz to find out if you are eligible for funding. It should take you less than three minutes to complete.
