Profile

I joined the German team in 2007, after working as an AL for many years , first in Region 03, then Region 09.

I am a member of L193 (Rundblick) and member of the writing team for the new Beginners Course.

My reserach interests include student motivation, Global English, the language learning crisis in the UK and language learner identity.

Teaching Interests

 

 

I am interested in student motivation and the notion of student-centred learning, looking at how motivation and student attitude relate to societal, political and personal contexts of the learning situation.

Current Research

work in progress: The language learning crisis in the British media: a Critical Discourse analysis.
