The Open University is committed to the principles of environmental protection and sustainable development with the aim of reducing its environmental impact. There are many external drivers, including the Department of Education and HEFCE sustainability strategies, which have focused attention on the environmental performance of HE establishments. The University will act, not only to respond to these drivers, but also to strive to achieve the highest standards.
