As you may have seen on OU Life recently, Vice Chancellor Mary Kellett signed a letter of commitment to confirm the OU as member of the Race Equality Charter, which also endorses the OU’s July 2019 application for REC Bronze status.
As an integral part of the application process, we need to hear your voices and experiences and would like to capture these through a series of focus group discussions in February 2019.
To have richness of information, we have divided the focus groups by ethnicity (White and BME) and type of employment contract (Academic, Academic-Related and Professional and Support staff and Associate Lecturers).
The focus group discussions are open to all OU staff and there will be a Skype link available for each session.
See the options below and select a session you would like to attend. To indicate your interest for a particular session and/or raise any queries, please contact: REC@open.ac.uk
The sessions will aim to discuss issues that affect OU staff, including the following themes:
Your attendance is important to us as this is a rare chance for us to discuss these issues with a focus on race and ethnicity and we hope we see as many of you as possible. Come along and have your views heard!
