The Ethics Centre exists to develop new courses in ethics of all sorts for the Open University. We are happy to provide advice and consultancy support to OU members who are working on curriculum initiatives in ethics, or thinking about starting one. Our regular Ethics Seminars exist to promote awareness and understanding both of research in ethics, and of how to teach ethics via the OU's extraordinarily rich range of pedagogical tools.
The Director helped to write the Continuing Professional Development course GA028 Ethics at Work, and Derek Matravers worked on A181 Ethics in Real Life. Some other courses are currently in development. Presently available courses can be viewed in a directory.
If you have an idea for a possible course in ethics, please get in touch with us! t.chappell@open.ac.uk
