Pick from over 400 Open University and Open University Business School courses, ranging from beginners' Spanish to MBAs and other Masters Degrees. You can register from all UK or BFPO addresses. A limited number of courses are available worldwide even if students in the services don't have a BFPO number.

Our unique methods mean you don’t need to put life or career on hold to get a qualification. You can get a degree in as little as three years or take longer if you prefer.

Varying levels

  • Courses are at different levels. ‘Openings’ are short, starter courses to build confidence and study skills (Level 1). Difficulty increases through first degree (Levels 1, 2 and 3) to postgraduate courses. For professional development, we have a range of CPD (Continuing Professional Development) and postgraduate qualifications. Over 800 samples of OU courses are available on OpenLearn at no cost.

  • Full details are in our online prospectus.

Personal development

  • Your personal development is enhanced in other ways too. Through the blend of OU learning methods, you’ll develop valuable IT skills by using webinars and other online communication tools. Through networking with peers working in a variety of sectors and jobs, you’ll find useful connections to pursue career opportunities.

Career opportunities

  • High academic standards ensure that OU qualifications are recognised and valued by professional organisations and employers like KPMG, Unilever, NHS, John Lewis, O2, Royal Mail, Heinz, Pfizer and Rolls Royce.

  • The OU will provide you with a degree respected everywhere – and an inspiring, challenging, rewarding experience you won't find anywhere else.
