A Day at The British Museum

Come along to the British Museum and join in a day of enjoyable talks presented by The Open University in association with the British Museum. The talks are free to attend.

Open University advisers will be available throughout the day to provide advice and information if you are considering studying with the Open University.

The talks are as follows:

  • 11am - A History of Archaeology: Mammoths and More - Jill Cook, The British Museum
  • 12pm - Ancient Philosophy and the Happiness Index: What David Cameron can learn from the Greeks and Romans - Sue Blundell, The Open University - SOLD OUT
  • 2pm - The Buddha and Manifestations of Buddhahood - Dominic Kennedy, The Open University
  • 3pm - Afghanistan: Crossroads of the Ancient World - Constance Wyndham, The British Museum
  • 4pm - Museums and Peacemaking in a Post-Conflict State - Lotte Hughes, The Open University

Advance bookings for the event have now closed.

There are still places available for all talks except for the 12pm talk - Ancient Philosophy and the Happiness Index, which is fully booked.

Remaining spaces for the other talks will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis on the day of the event.
