Welcome to the Institute of Educational Technology at The Open University. Our role is to ensure that the Open University is a leader in educational technology based on understanding what is possible; trying out ideas, and reflecting on what happens and why. The distinctive features of this are:
(i) open approaches to research,
(ii) collaboration with world class researchers internationally, and
(iii) linking research and practice.
Our staff members work collaboratively with colleagues both within the University and around the world and are key to achieving our vision of being a knowledge sharing and innovative leader in educational technology for the University.
