The Scholarship and knowledge exchange programme includes a number of projects which display the range of IET's contribution to scholarship at the University.
OU Scholarship project
The university wide Scholarship project, led by IET, aims to deliver an effective and agreed framework and platform for the management of OU scholarship. As a result the University gains maximum benefit and value from scholarship activity and the evidence of its contributions to the generation and application of new knowledge and to the University's mission and strategic priorities overall. The OU Scholarship project will also help facilitate a clear and coherent institutional portfolio of scholarship aligned with the University's Strategic priorities.
The three strands of this project are:
- Recording – effective recording and capturing of scholarly activity using the academic workload management system
- Framework and facilitation – establish a framework for scholarship including the development of faculty scholarship plans and an effective institutional scholarship strategy
- Platform – provide the architecture and environment to frame scholarship activity, and support the managing, collecting and sharing of knowledge.
