Our MA in Online and Distance Education (ODE) (F10) has been successful since it began in 1997, and offers you the opportunity to study theory and practice of online, open and distance and digital education in the company of IET's experienced academics and technical support staff who have written and developed all the modules. You can study wherever you can access the internet – our student groups are international. The ODE postgraduate programme is ideal for those who want to study part-time at a distance for postgraduate qualifications in this rapidly expanding new field.

The qualification you gain will depend on how many modules of the ODE Programme you choose to study.

Our postgraduate Certificate, Diploma and MA degrees are open to applicants from many areas of education and training who have a first degree or are otherwise equipped to study at postgraduate level and have a minimum of 50 hours teaching practice over the course presentation. One 60-point course and four 30-point courses are offered within the ODE Programme.
The ODE qualifications are intended for your professional development. We offer a flexible approach to learning that allows you to fit studies alongside professional and domestic commitments. Our innovative methods include using Elluminate for online tutorials and the Moodle Virtual Learning Environment.

The programme has been designed to meet the academic and professional needs of practitioners (and intending practitioners) in a variety of areas such as education, health care, voluntary organizations and the public and private sector, such as lecturers, teachers, trainers, support staff, educational technologists, media specialists, learning systems managers, librarians, learning centre advisory staff, etc from a range of knowledge domains.
