Abstract
Craig's research looks at how long-term exposure to violence during civil war impacts on the ways in which societies deal with intergroup conflict in the postwar years. By looking at how conflict is understood and experienced as an interaction between political (group) representatives and the groups on whose behalf they speak, his aim is to investigate the transition to non-violent means of dealing with group conflict and the implications of this for long-term sustainable peace.
