What Good Can Models Do with the Wicked Problems?

Wed, 7 December 2016, 10:30 to 14:00

Holly Seminar Room, First Floor, Learning & OD Centre, Wilson Block, OU, Milton Keynes

The Global Challenges Research Fund is a £1.5 billion fund to support research that addresses the challenges faced by developing countries. The OU's Strategic Research Area in International Development and Inclusive Innovation (SRA-IDII) invites interested colleagues from across the university to join them at this lively workshop for demonstrations and discussion of how interdisciplinary research can best benefit all our research.

In particular the workshop will look at:

  • How colleagues in DPP, Geography, Science and Computing are doing their bit
  • How modelling can bridge multi-disciplinary research
  • How an interdisciplinary approach can benefit research interests.
