IKD: Innovation, Knowledge and Development
One of the strengths of IKD is that our research areas are deeply embodied in the courses that we teach. Examples are listed below.
The Faculty of Technology has CTS 1+3 ESRC accreditation for PhD studentships, which will provide a basis for attracting quality students to IKD. Its MSc in Technology Strategy Research has a 30 credit point module Technology Policy and Innovation (T890). The involvement of IKD would also potentially enhance this postgraduate programme. Economics will soon be adding a module on innovation and competition policy.
OUBS international research flavour is demonstrated by its PhD students, which include scholars from Australia, Canada, China, Germany, India and the UK. MKIRU's academic and practitioner-oriented projects maintain close links with the development of OUBS teaching material: principally B630/B615, B823, B830 and B822, and the SME research supports B752, B822 and B722, plus U800.
