- The first time you use a room, or if there are constant changes to location, then clear directions are needed, preferably in written and diagrammatic form.
- Try to notify students ahead of time of any room changes.
- The room should preferably have good daylight, without flickering or bright overhead lights.
- Some students find old fluorescent lights that flicker make them feel dizzy or sick.
- Some students find they are unable to take notes if there is only a small area for writing as they need to have their paper at an angle, or because they want to use large sheets of A3 for mind mapping.
- They may have a note taker, or may wish to use a tape recorder which should be placed near the speaker.
