Our images of disability are socially and culturally conditioned. Negative attitudes and assumptions, often based on a lack of knowledge, can easily shape the way we behave towards disabled people. It may be necessary for you to re-evaluate your assumptions about disabled people before you can adopt more inclusive approaches to teaching.
