Simple things like, getting me handouts in advance in electronic form related to that particular lecture. Unhelpful things they did, were… one lecturer thought she would be extremely helpful and she gave me the whole module's handouts, in a big file. No way for me to know what related to what. Then she gave them to me in electronic form. Unfortunately in the lectures, what they did was they'd give the title of the handout. The file name was completely different. So, I might have eight or nine handouts for that lecture and I'm sitting there trying to madly open files and guess from the heading what it was. So, getting to a point where I got the information in a way, in a structure, in a format that was usable and at the right time, took a bit of doing. But when we got there it was extremely… it worked well. It's all around accessing the visual elements. Things that were helpful were when they were using flip charts or OHPs was just to give a good commentary. If you've got two columns, and you're talking, you know, people are brainstorming and they're writing it up on a flip chart, just to say, what the headings are and which column. Every time somebody says something, say which column you're putting it in. it's no good saying and there we've got, and there we've got and there we've got, and I'm using my hands. But lecturers do that, because they're used to working in a world where visual cues are important. It's not done with any sort of ill intention, it's just failing to realise.
