Well the official term is severe to profound hearing loss, you could just say I'm deaf. And yeah well, I can hear, like most other people can, but it limits me on details, such as I can't hear high pitches, and well I tend to struggle with sort of people with different accents as well, so things like that. I was deaf from birth. I got my hearing aids when I was very young, probably only about a year, a year and a half when I got them. So basically all it meant was I just took longer to learn English than everyone else. And it also depends on the level of deafness. My brother, he's only two years younger than me, and he still can't speak properly. He's still learning, but you know, he's not like, fluent like we are, because he's a lot more deaf than I am. I didn't even want to learn sign language because when you look everywhere around you don't see anyone else doing sign. So and I want to, blend in with everyone else, as much as I can.
