Before I came to C.E.L.T. I just had this vague ideathat dyslexia meant word blindness. So it was a problem with reading and I was very surprised to find out there's a lot more to it than that. Some people with dyslexia don't have any problem reading at all. It can affect reading. It can affect spelling and writing. It can be an organisational problem. It could affect short term memory, so some students are affected by just one or two of those, some students are affected by all of them. So I can see three or four dyslexic students, one after the other and they're all completely different.
